AdSense - Why me?
AdSense - NO FAIR!
I'm hurt and angry, cause I'm a very honest person. I've even asked them to point out to me where and what the risk is? Nothing, nadda! So what must I do? I even moved my blogs, just two of them to make a fresh start, but they wouldn't activate it for me. I mean really, why do they offer to give you a second chance if they don't. This is really unfair and I hope they realise it.
The other thing that I think might have caused a bit of a stir is, that my blogs were quite busy for a week or so, cause I went to a kitchen tea of about a 150 ladies, yes, it was a huge party. I told them about my blogs and since most of them weren't married yet and a lot of them are planning their weddings still I told them about my wedding blog. It has all my contacts and everything that I used to plan my wedding on there. I told them that there are loads of info on my blog and that they should go and look at it. They absolutely loved it and some even read my other blogs too. They referred some other ladies to my blogs as well and it made me feel good that so many people were interested. So my blogs were busy for little over a week? So what, is it my fault they are so awesome???? I noted that my AdSense account went up quite a bit in that period of time, but started slowing down. They have already calmed down a lot and my stats show that my blogs aren't so busy anymore. Now I ask you. What did "I" do wrong? Was it wo wrong to tell people about my blogs? I never even mentioned AdSense to them.
Okay, now that I've vented out all my frustration, I better get back to work.

Someone is keeping a safe eye on me
So glad I was late.
This mornings incident.
Left home on time this morning, but hit bad traffic. I thought, damn, now I'm going to have even less gym time. Oh well, suppose there is nothing you can do now, can you. Dropped off daughter at school and off to gym. Parked, got out of car and while I walk to the gym, I heard the owner from the coffee shop in the same shopping centre tell another guy that hephone the cops and they asked if it is really necessary for them to come out. The guy relied and said, well uh yes, a guys car was stolen and was used as the get away car. I was shocked! WTF!
After gym I went to the Woolies there and saw the cops outside the coffee shop. I gathered that the coffee shop was robbed and stole someone's car as the get away car. I realised that if I was on time, that it could've been my car, since I always park close to the coffee shop.
Well, guess someone or thing is watching over me.

How Men Talk, And Don’t Listen

by: Terry leslie
Men tend to perceive conversation with mates as a form of competition or challenge-like playing office politics or jockeying for position in the passing lane. When we’re asked a question, we don’t just answer – we want to give the right answer (or the right excuse). If talking turns into a debate or argument, naturally we want to win it. If the conversation revolves around our partner’s problems, 9 times out of 10, we’ll move into advice-giving mode, trying to come up with solutions to the puzzle laid out before us.
Our adversarial attitude toward conversation is not just mental; it’s physical, too. Conversation can be as stressful as any physical challenge men face in life. It actually quickens our heart rates and causes our temperatures to rise. Left unchecked, our impulse to wrestle with conversation can also cause tempers to rise and very quickly lead a conversation into the not-so-gentle realm of full-blown argument. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
It’s the basic nature of men to equate the rigors of conversation with more physical challenges. We don’t talk about stuff; we do stuff. We’re hands-on, proactive. “Men get their identities from their achievements, not their relationships. Thus, we have a hard time simply having a talk, empathizing with a partner, commiserating with her. We need to talk to have a point or a goal, or to address a concrete issue that can be solved with advice and specific actions.
This is just the opposite of what women want. Usually, all they want is to feel that you’ve heard them, regardless of whether your conversation comes to a specific resolution.
That’s not the only way we differ in conversational style. Just for your own edification, here are some other examples that reveal our competitive leanings when it comes to conversation.
Men issue commands; women make requests. For example, a man will say “Close the door,” while a woman will ask, “Will you please close the door?” This gives men power and makes women seem subservient.
While women initiate conversations, men interrupt a lot more and thus gain control of the discussion.
In conversation, men like to give information, not get it. This, by the way, is why we don’t like to ask for directions. So in summary, men really do need to learn how to just listen more. This will do wonders for scoring brownie points in courting women.
In the mean time, Good Luck!
I'm feeling so sour
So my sister told me that I should have lemons everyday to help with detox and weight lose. So I went to Woolies and bought some of their lemons, cause apparently the skin taste better. Yes, she said I must eat the skin as well. I must say, the skin is a lot easier to eat that the inside. I then googled the benefits of lemons and was quite surprised on how good it is for you.
Here is what I found out:
The simple, garden-variety lemon is very much understated. Lemons are very common and we see them everywhere. We use them to make lemonade, mix them into our drinks to add a little zing, they remove hard stains, are an all-around deodorizer and air freshener and we use them in our cooking as both an ingredient and garnish. Maybe we should stop and take another look at this yellow wonder because it may change what you think of it. When the world gives you lemons, there's a whole lot more you can make with them than just lemonade.
In traditional medicine, the lemon is widely known for its healing powers and is used in many different ways. In fact, the lemon is so powerful that it was used by the Romans as their cure for all types of poison.
Although the lemon is often thought of as acidic, it is very effective in curing many digestion problems when mixed with hot water, including biliousness, nausea, heartburn, disorders of the lower intestines like constipation and worm infestations. It is even known to relieve hiccups. Water plus a few lemons becomes lemon juice. Lemon juice, when taken regularly in the morning, acts as a tonic to the liver and stimulates it to produce bile making it ready to digest the day's food. It is also thought to help dissolve gallstones. Because of its high vitamin C content, it is thought to help prevent and treat many infections, hasten wound healing and temper down high fever. Lemon juice also relieves symptoms of asthma, tonsillitis and sore throat.
Lemon is also a diuretic. This means it is good for people with urinary tract infections and high uric acid problems, such as those with arthritis or rheumatism because it helps flush out all the toxins and bad bacteria. When lemon is mixed with coffee, it is thought to help treat malaria. This concoction is also effective for headaches.
When externally applied, lemon juice that is poured onto a small piece of cotton wool and gently applied to the nostrils could stop epistaxis (more commonly known as nose bleeds) although this may sting a bit. When massaged gently into gums, lemon juice may also stop gum bleeding. Lemon juice with glycerin is effective when used on the lips to treat chapping. This may be a little strange but lemon juice applied on your skin can also help prevent sunburn.
Lemons are also used as balms in highly concentrated forms. Some may know them as "cure-alls". Lemon balms are known for their ability to break fevers by encouraging the patient's body to perspire. Because of this, lemon balms are recommended for all fevers, no matter what the cause. Lemon balms are also popular treatments for cough and colds, even hay fever. Balms are also used in the treatment of flatulence and other digestive conditions. Menstrual cramps are relieved by lemon balms, as are dizziness, headaches and high blood pressure.
Psychologically, lemon balm is used to lift people's spirits, especially those who are undergoing menopause and are depressed, because it will calm anxieties, clear their minds and center their focus. It also supposedly improves memory storage and recall.
Okay, so that is why I feel so sour today. My mouth is still pulling funny. This better work.
Love yourself

We all fixate on what's wrong with our bodies from time to time. But that doesn't mean we live in a constant state of hating our bodies every day of our lives. You wouldn't know it, however, from the way the media promotes female dissatisfaction. TV shows, magazines, and advertising feed on our inadequacies and insecurities. Very few examples focus on what women like and appreciate about their physical selves. Instead of breeding self-hatred, why not counter these negative influences with positive images? What do you love about your body? Is there a common thread between women when it comes to body self-love?
Who says moms can't look like this?

Well, had a very interesting dream last night. Must be a sign of desperation to try and lose weight. I dreamed that I was taking oral steroids and was is some sort of daze when I took it. Was only suppose to have one a day, but I just kept on taking it, one after the other. Then when I realised what I was doing, I was wondering if I should stick my finger down my throat or just leave it and see what happens. If I leave it, would I start looking like a man? What in the world?!!
So went to gym this morning and all I could think of was which personal trainer will drill me so hard that after 3 months I will have this super sexy body. I've even picked him out already. I remember once how he was drilling this one women and she was sweating like a pig, and the looks she gave him, I thought she was going to kill him any minute now. Now that is what I want.
Okay, so where will I find the money for it? They charge a fortune and I am so broke at the moment. I have to cut my groceries budget even things are so bad. So okay, maybe I will have to wait a few months. Mmm, how long is a few months? Damn, I need that sexy body. The one I had before I had my two kids.

Why do I bother?
I don't understand?
He is driving me away, I will more and more disappear every weekend to visit my parents without him.
He complains about the fact that I take some me time (facial) every other Saturday, sometimes only once a month. He says I disappear every weekend. Every weekend? Not! Then he will still say, yes every weekend. It is max two hours I'm gone the whole weekend (the weekend I go out). That is also cause I buy some groceries while I'm out. So what, I must stay at home all the time and let us starve to death.
No matter what I do, it's wrong.
Just I as thought I wasn't having such a bad day

All was well today until I got home from work. Tired, a little irritated, but then again, that's quite normal at the end of the week.
As I got home, my husband came out and opened the garage for me and I thought, how sweet. Get out of the car and hardly got a hello, just. Did you get milk? When I said no, he said, well you went to the shop to get lunch! Not! I buy my weeks lunch on a Monday and keep it in the fridge at work. Cheaper that way. So I told him this, and that was that.
Got inside, put my things down and went to the kitchen to put my left over lunch in the fridge. My 3 year old daughter was sitting on the kitchen table next to supper, which was hot dogs. So I opened the viennas to give her one and she said no. I then thought, oh well and ate it. Just to have my husband telling me off fr not offering her any! WTF! I told him then that I did offer, but like always, he still accuses me that I "always" think of "my" stomage first. That I could've offered it to him first. What's up with him not believing me when I say something. I always get accused of bad things, like being a bad mother. Why can't I ever do anything right in his eyes? Why does he want me to be perfect? I als have stress, why does he have to add to it? What happend to the caring man he use to be? The one that use apologise when we had a little fight! What is up with all these accusations? Doesn't he realise that I'm in permanent defence mode these days, just to protect myself from his negative words towards me.
Then when I told him how it makes me feel, he would say something like, that's a feable excuse or stop making excuses.
What to do, what to do...
*sigh*
I just want to lose a couple of kgs
TGIF!

Bad mommy!
So my point being, was I suppose to remember this yesterday? Was it up to him, my 13 year old son to remember? Am I a bad mom forgetting things like that?
Totally awesome!
Burning the midnight oil

I have to work tonight. No, not on paying jobs, no, why would we work on paying jobs. It's pro-active stuff. Three freaking hours. I ask you. Oh and the best is, they want me to go out and buy food for tonight, obviously not with my money, but my petrol. So now they take my time and my petrol. Like seriously!
WHY EMPLOYEES LEAVE ORGANISATIONS?
by Azim Premji, CEO - WiproEvery company faces the problem of people leaving the company for better pay or profile.
Early this year, Mark, a senior software designer, got an offer from a prestigious international firm to work in its India operations developing specialized software. He was thrilled by the offer.
He had heard a lot about the CEO. The salary was great. The company had all the right systems in place employee-friendly human resources (HR) policies, a spanking new office, and the very best technology, even a canteen that served superb food.
Twice Mark was sent abroad for training. "My learning curve is the sharpest it's ever been," he said soon after he joined.
Last week, less than eight months after he joined, Mark walked out of the job.
Why did this talented employee leave ?
Arun quit for the same reason that drives many good people away.
The answer lies in one of the largest studies undertaken by the Gallup Organization. The study surveyed over a million employees and 80,000 managers and was published in a book called "First Break All The Rules". It came up with this surprising finding:
If you're losing good people, look to their immediate boss. Immediate boss is the reason people stay and thrive in an organization. And he 's the reason why people leave. When people leave they take knowledge, experience and contacts with them, straight to the competition.
"People leave managers not companies," write the authors Marcus Buckingham and Curt Coffman.
Mostly manager drives people away?
HR experts say that of all the abuses, employees find humiliation the most intolerable. The first time, an employee may not leave, but a thought has been planted. The second time, that thought gets strengthened. The third time, he looks for another job.
When people cannot retort openly in anger, they do so by passive aggression. By digging their heels in and slowing down. By doing only what they are told to do and no more. By omitting to give the boss crucial information. Dev says: "If you work for a jerk, you basically want to get him into trouble. You don 't have your heart and soul in the job."
Different managers can stress out employees in different ways - by being too controlling, too suspicious, too pushy, too critical, but they forget that workers are not fixed assets, they are free agents. When this goes on too long, an employee will quit - often over a trivial issue.
Talented people leave. Dead wood doesn't.
"Jack Welch of GE once said. A company's value lies "between the ears of its employees".
and so I thought
I can actually do with the luck of one of these. Here is some info on what it means. The mythical king money frog
By Jakob JellingFengShuiCrazy.com
The king money frog is a Chinese mythical creature which, according to the tradition, when there is full moon it appears near the houses in which good news will be soon received. These good news most of the times would refer to monetary incomes in general and bring wealth related auspicious information.
The name of this mythical creature is due to the fact that it carries the pa kua on its back and below its crown. The frog symbolizes wealth while the pa kua symbolizes protection, and therefore, this king money frog symbolizes the unity of those life aspects bringing them both to those who keep this creature into their homes. The king of money would help you enhancing your house money income and then protecting it as well.
The king money frog is usually depicted sitting on a bed of coins and gold ingots which add to the wealth symbolism which the frog itself already has. Therefore, this feng shui item is ideal for those who wish to attract wealth as well as they wish to protect their money income.
Besides than attracting wealth and providing protection, the king money frog also helps its owner getting rid of any bad luck which might be causing him monetary problems. If you feel like you are spending too much money or you are having to much inconveniences which take money to be solved, acquiring a king money frog could help you ending up with such problems. Due to the uniqueness of its powers and symbolism, the king money frog can help solving any money related problems which people might go through.
The proper place for the king money frog to be placed is in the living room or a business’ main room, and specifically at the corner which is diagonally opposite to the entrance door. This place is ideal since corners are a place where chi concentrates and therefore they are a strategic spot for the chi flow of the room. This way, the king money frog would receive a direct influence and strength given by the concentration of chi energy.
Maybe I should do my Gr12

Then change careers? Would that be the answer?
I'm in advertising, been in it for 15 years. I've had enough, things aren't what they use to be. It has become a slave industry. You don't get enough time to do stuff anymore. These tight deadlines are ludicrous and then they expect you to do award winning work.
I use to be a DTP operator, which was great a couple of years ago. This job description has been taken over by lazy people and all they want to do is disk work, nothing else. How boring. So I've manage to get myself an Art Director/Graphic Designer position in the same agency. Which was very exciting at first. Only problem, my Mac got downgraded. I've probably got the slowest computer in the agency. It's insane with these deadlines that we have, but no, DTP gets the fast Macs, cause they need it. Bull shit! All they do is disk, right? So why have these big super charged computers if Creative has to do all the work for them as well?
So I think it's time, time to relook my career. What, I don't know. Maybe I should do my Gr12 first, then I can look at studying for something else. What about interior design? What about photography? I don't know, but lets start at getting my Gr12 first.

So...
Well, got home today, just to have my husband going of on me cause I so called yelled at our 3 year old little girl. She got out of the car and gave me my sunglasses. So I said, no sweetie, it must stay in the car. We all know how stubborn a 3 year old can be. She insists I take it. I then took it and put it back in the car and want to close the door, but little girl is in the way. I asked her nicely to move and said that the bags are getting heavy, please move. She starts crying. Then daddy comes and said I didn't have to yell at her, but all I did was saying to her she must move and in a playful way.Can you just tell it over...
So bored with life

So life has just become a routine. Get up, get kids ready, pack gym bag, get kids in the car, fight traffic for 30-50 minutes, drop kids of at schools, go to gym, go to work, hate my job, pick up kids, fight traffic, get home, watch 30 minute programme (me time), bath kids, sometimes cooks (Husband normally cooks), watch some TV or read a book, sleep and it all starts over again. Weekends I have to catch up with washing, run and clean up after kids, fight for time to relax cause I'm so tired.
What happened to the person who loved to decorate her house. The one who could just start spring cleaning the house for no reason at all. Where did she find the time for all this?
